How do I update my phone number, email, or information?

If you recently changed phone numbers, your email or your address, here is where to update your information.

Had a recent change in information? We can help.

Phone Number: You are able to update your phone number right in the app, by following these steps.

  1. Click your profile in the top left corner

  2. Click View Profile

  3. Click Edit Profile

  4. Scroll down to “Personal Information and click Phone Number”

if you aren’t able to do this in the app. We can certainly help. We will just need to confirm your information and get your account verified.

To update your phone via our support team, please send the following pieces of information through chat or by sending an email to support@public.com, and we will provide the next steps:

  • Full Name

  • New Phone Number

Change of email?

We can certainly help change the email address on file for you. For security purposes please reply with the below from your email associated with your account. If you can't email us from your verified email, simply send a government-issued ID and your new email to support@public.com or in the in-app chat.

The quickest and easiest way to update your email is by clicking here from your mobile device.

You can also update by following these instructions on the App:

  1. Select the Menu icon ≡ , the icon in the top left corner

  2. Scroll down and select the Account Settings

  3. Select Profile, then select Update Email

If you can't log in or use the web version exclusively you will need to reach out to Member Support to update your email on file.

You can contact us via chat or email at support@public.com. For security purposes please reply with the below from your email associated with your account. If you can't email us from your verified email, simply send a government-issued ID and your new email address.

To change your email with our support team, please provide us with the following pieces of information, and we will discuss next steps:

  • Full Name

  • Phone Number

  • Registered Email Address

  • New Email Address

Change of address?

We can certainly help change the home address on file for you. For security purposes please send in the in-app chat or to support@public.com:

  • Full Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Email Address

  • Registered Home Address

  • New Home Address

As well as a copy of a Proof of Address in order to verify your identity and approve your address change.

​Any recent copy of one of the following will work as proof of address:

  • Updated Drivers License

  • Cell Phone Bill

  • Utility Bill

  • Credit Card Statement

  • Bank Statement

  • Car Insurance

  • W2

  • Mortgage Statement

  • Lease Agreement

  • Government-issued ID with the new address

When sending in your proof of address, please provide a full-page, unfolded copy of the document (preferably as a PDF, but a photo of the full document will work as well.). You can send this as an attachment in the app or to support@public.com

Once we receive that our Member Support team can verify and update the address on file for you.
