Help us keep the Public community strong.

Updated over 2 years ago

Public is an investing platform that allows everyone to invest in stocks, ETFs, crypto, and alternative assets—all in one place. We help members be better investors by providing access to custom company metrics, live shows about the markets, and insights from a community of millions of investors, creators, and analysts.

In our mission to make the public markets work for all people—we believe open conversations lead to the discovery of new ideas and can help improve your investing experience. We celebrate differences of opinion and the diversity of viewpoints that are reflected in our broad community of members.

Bringing people together from different walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences leads to the most insightful and constructive discussions. We’re smarter together.

We are committed to ensuring a safe and positive experience for all of our members. This means enforcing strong guidelines around treating each other with empathy and respect. As a member of our community, we expect you to abide by the code of conduct and do your part to support an environment that is safe, authentic, and productive for all.

We will remove any content (posts, comments) that violate our Community Guidelines. Members can appeal decisions if they believe no violation has taken place by reaching out to the Public Support team. We will warn members, temporarily restrict social capabilities, and untrend content, or permanently ban accounts that are involved in severe or repeated violations.

If you see content that you think violates our policies, we ask that you report it by tapping the three dots next to a profile, post, or comment and selecting “Report.” We take all reports incredibly seriously. We may work with law enforcement, including but not limited to cases in which we believe there’s a risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.

If you encounter content you don’t wish to see that doesn’t violate policy, you have the option to unfollow or block other members.

By using Public, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Use. Note: These policies are subject to change at any time. The most updated version can always be found here.
