At Public, we take the safety and security of our community extremely seriously. Since every new member is opening a brokerage account and we are in a heavily regulated industry, every application is rigorously vetted.

Most applications are instantly processed, but sometimes our system requires an application to provide more information and additional documentation. Unfortunately, we don't have any control over which accounts need to go through extra processing. Since that step requires individual review, the process can take anywhere from 1 - 10 business days.

We do, of course, do everything we can to keep the process moving as quickly as possible, but at the end of the day any extra time spent on an application is done solely to protect our community of investors and we appreciate your patience and understanding! 🤗
