Why hasn't my account been approved?

Sometimes we may need some additional information in order to verify your account.

At Public, we take the safety and security of our community seriously. Since every new member is opening a brokerage account and we are in a heavily regulated industry, every application is rigorously vetted.

Most applications are instantly processed, but sometimes our system requires an application to provide more information and additional documentation.

I feel like my application has been pending or verifying for too long- what can I do?

If you ever feel that your application is taking too long,please check your inbox for an email from 'Public', or for any documentation requests. If we requested information from you, please respond to the request and we'll get your information reviewed as soon as possible!

We do, of course, do everything we can to keep the process moving as quickly as possible, any extra time spent on an application is done solely to protect our community of investors and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
