You can save time this tax season by uploading your 1099 tax statements directly into TurboTax. Below are the steps and important details you’ll need to know.
Which Accounts Are Eligible for Direct Upload?
The following accounts can be uploaded directly to TurboTax:
Brokerage accounts
Bond accounts
IRA's
HYCA accounts
Note: Jiko Treasury accounts and crypto transactions are not eligible for direct upload. You will need to enter these transactions manually.
What You’ll Need Before Uploading
Make sure you have:
Your Apex account number (available on your account statement, tax statement, as well as in the app)
Your Social Security Number (SSN)
These two pieces of information are required to link your account securely with TurboTax.
To Upload your Tax Statement:
Log in to your TurboTax account.
Select Import or Upload 1099 when prompted to enter your tax documents.
Search for Apex Clearing as the financial institution.
Enter your Apex account number and SSN to authenticate.
Once imported, TurboTax will automatically populate the relevant tax fields.
If you have a Jiko Treasury account or crypto transactions, these will not be included in the TurboTax upload. You will need to manually enter the information using your 1099 statements.
