How are alternative assets on Public structured?
How are alternative assets on Public structured?
Updated over a week ago

Each asset or group of assets is owned by an individual “series” (like a mini company) of one of our subsidiaries, Otis Gallery LLC (Gallery) and Otis Collection LLC (Collection), or a standalone company. When you invest, you become an interest holder (shareholder) in a specific series (sub-company) or company, as applicable, that owns an asset or group of assets. Each series/company (asset) has a separate EIN and bank account.

Currently, Otis, an affiliate of Public, is the asset manager for every asset on the platform and has full discretion. You can find more detailed information in our most recent offering circulars filed with the SEC:Gallery and Collection. For future alternative assets, there may be third-party asset managers, which would be disclosed in various places.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Member Support in the in-app chat or email at support@public.com.
