What happens to my investments in alternative assets if Public goes out of business?
What happens to my investments in alternative assets if Public goes out of business?
Updated over a week ago

Our operating agreements detail the process should Public, and by extension Otis (an affiliate of Public that currently manages the alternative assets on the platform), go out of business. This process is also described in our most recent offering circulars filed with the SEC: Gallery and Collection. In such an event, we are, or a liquidator we select is, charged with winding up the affairs related to our alternative asset offerings, liquidating assets, and distributing any after-tax proceeds. In other words, Otis or an appointed liquidator will sell all assets and distribute funds to shareholders after taxes and expenses. The process for partners will be similar but may differ, as detailed in the respective offering and governing documents.

You can find more detailed information, including both annual audited financials and semiannual unaudited financials, in our most recent offering circulars filed with the SEC: Gallery and Collection.
