Weekends and holidays

What happens to my stock charts and returns over the weekend?

Stocks trade Sunday 8:00 PM ET through Friday 8:00 PM ET (crypto trades all the time, unaffected by weekends).

  • Toggle OFF: Your stock charts and 1-day returns freeze at Friday's 4:00 PM close and won't update again until the market reopens Monday at 9:30 AM ET.

  • Toggle ON: Your stock charts and returns continue updating through Friday evening trading, freeze once that session ends, and then pick back up Sunday at 8:00 PM ET when 24/5 trading resumes.

Either way, crypto keeps updating live, 24/7, with no interruption.

What happens Monday after midnight?

When the market gap between Friday and Monday is captured, your Monday 1-day return will reflect the full move — including anything that happened over the weekend — measured against Friday's 4:00 PM close.

Does this also apply to market holidays?

Yes. Stock market holidays and early-close days are treated the same way as weekends: your reference price stays anchored to the most recent regular trading session's 4:00 PM close until the market reopens.

What if a stock doesn't support extended-hours trading?

Not every stock is eligible for extended hours and 24/5 trading. If a stock you hold isn't eligible, its chart will simply show gaps during the hours when it isn't trading, rather than a continuous line.
