How do I view my tax documents or account statements in the Public app?
You can view your account statements, trade confirmations, or tax documents directly in the app.
Log in to Public
Select the menu icon (≡) in the top left corner of the screen
Scroll down and select settings
Select documents
Choose the tax document you want to view
The document will open within the app.
How do I download or export a tax document from the Public app?
Once the document is open in the app:
Tap the Share icon
Choose one of the following options:
Save to Files / Download to store the PDF on your device
Email to attach the PDF to an email
Print the document (if a printer is connected)
Share to another app (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or Files)
The document is exported as a PDF.
Where is the PDF saved on my phone?
iPhone: The PDF is saved in the Files app (either iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on what you select).
Android: The PDF is usually saved to your Downloads folder or the location you choose.

How do I download my tax document from the Public website?
Log in to Public
Select the menu icon (≡) in the right-hand corner of the screen
Scroll down and select settings
Select Documents
Choose the tax document you want to view
The document will open in a new browser tab as a PDF or download to your computer files.
How do I save, email, or print the document from the website?
Click the document you want to access
The document will either:
Open in a PDF viewer in your web browser, or
Automatically download to your computer’s Downloads folder
If the document opens in your browser:
In the PDF viewer, click File (or the download/print icons in the viewer).
Select Save or Download to store the PDF on your computer, or
Select Print to print the document.
If the document downloads automatically:
Open your computer’s Downloads folder.
Open the PDF file.
Click File and then select Print, or attach the file as a PDF as needed.
The document will remain in PDF format and can be printed or uploaded to tax software.
