For required minimum distributions (RMD), Public follows the standard IRS rules, which require you to withdraw based on your account balance and age.
If you need additional information on withdrawing your RMD, here’s some helpful information from the IRS website. For your Public account, an RMD notice will be sent by the end of January each year for accounts that qualify for the RMD and held a balance as of 12/31 the year prior. This will be sent directly from our clearing firm, Apex Clearing.
