What happens to my High-Yield Cash Account during an outgoing transfer?
What happens to my High-Yield Cash Account during an outgoing transfer?

If you elect a full outgoing transfer but hold cash in a High-Yield Cash Account, these funds are not transferable.

Since these positions cannot be transferred and your account would be closed as a result of the full outgoing transfer, you would need to withdraw all funds from your High-Yield Cash Account so they can be transferred along with the remaining assets to your new firm. If you have already submitted an outgoing transfer request, then please reach out to our Member Support team so they can assist with ensuring all funds are transferred.

Alternatively, If you want to preserve your High-Yield Cash Account and a transfer is already in process, our team can attempt to cancel your transfer so that you may resubmit it as a partial transfer. This way, you could retain these positions and your High-Yield Cash Account.

Please reach out to our team for any additional assistance and we welcome any feedback regarding your experience if you want to share it with our Member Support team at support@public.com.
