In the event of unauthorized use, we have resources for you.

In the event of unauthorized activity, or if your identity has been compromised, please notify our team at support@public.com right away.

We recommend changing your password and ensuring biometric authentication (fingerprint, facial recognition) on your phone are utilized.

Additionally, we recommend notifying your bank(s), as well as all three credit reporting agencies.

We also recommend contacting the Federal Trade Commission to report identity theft: their website, as well as helpful resources are available here.

An additional step is to report a complaint to Internet Crime Complaint Center, which is the hub for reporting online crime. You may file this on their website here, if this is related to cyber crime, phishing, elder fraud or another form of online identity theft.
