To enable investing on your Public account, like any other brokerage account, you must meet certain requirements:
Be 18 years of age*
Have a valid Social Security Number
Have a legal U.S. residential address
Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or have a valid visa
In rare cases, we might have to ask for some additional information to complete your application, but rest assured we will always make this as seamless as possible.
*The awesome news is that anyone under 18 can totally download the app and use an inactive version. They'd be able to follow other investors and learn a lot that way, too.
