There is a monthly management fee for Treasury Accounts. The fee is as stated below and is tiered based on the size of assets being managed. As customers reach higher tiers, the fees charged on marginal dollars invested are reduced.

If your account is charged the management fee and there is not enough cash in the cash balance of your Treasury Account, Public will raise the cash by liquidating a treasury position of $100 par value based on the sell order methodology (Faq link). The minimum amount that can be sold for a treasury is $100 par value. The leftover cash will remain in the cash portion of the Treasury Account.

In addition to the management fee, for each purchase or sell made, standard Treasury markup/markdown rates apply. Buying and Selling $100 par value of Treasuries maturing in less than a year incurs a $0.10 fee and Treasuries maturing in greater than a year incurs a $0.25 fee. For further details, visit our fee schedule or learn more here on how bond fees work.
