How Do I Find My Voting Materials?
Proxy materials are typically distributed either electronically or via mail. Most of the time, the emails and communications will come from a third-party service provider that Apex, our clearing firm, has engaged with in order to distribute these materials.
A good place to also check in is the investor relations section of the issuing company’s website to see all the details on the upcoming Shareholder’s meeting and voting information for the proxy vote!
Do I Get to Vote If I Own Fractional Shares?
Yup! Fractional shareowners will also receive voting materials.
The great news is at Public we hold all of our members' securities or stocks in street name! What does that mean for you? Securities purchased by you are held at the firm level in book-entry form, and you are the recorded beneficial owner. This means you own the shares you buy!
You can always read more about Street Names in this article explaining street names directly from FINRA.org.
Lastly, Public doesn't offer margin accounts, so all accounts are cash accounts.
