In order to fund your Public brokerage account, a personal bank account from a traditional bank must be connected.

Unfortunately, the following account types are not able to fund your Public account:

  1. PayPal, CashApp, Venmo

  2. Netspend, Green Dot Bank, Robinhood

  3. Credit or Prepaid Debit Cards

That said, while we don’t have those funding options right now, we are always adding awesome new features to the app and this could become available in the future! 🚀

In the meantime, we would recommend connecting to a different bank or you can always fund your account via check or wire. If you prefer that route please let us know via the App's Live Chat or via email at support@public.com and we can send over the instructions for that right away! ⚡️
