Can all stocks be traded fractionally?

Beginning September 1, 2026, we're updating which stocks are eligible for new fractional buy orders. Stocks trading at $400 or more per share may no longer be available for new fractional purchases. ETFs, regardless of price per share, remain available for fractional trading. Direct Indexing and Generated assets accounts are not impacted.

Some exempt symbols are:

What happens if I already own fractional shares of an affected stock?

No changes are made to shares you already hold. You can still sell any fractional shares you currently own in an affected stock. However, you can no longer place new fractional buy orders for that stock.

Can I still set up recurring investments (like Recurring Buys or Investment Plans) in an affected stock?

No. If a recurring investment includes an affected stock, that portion of the recurring order will no longer execute as a fractional purchase. You can adjust your recurring investment to buy whole shares instead, or remove the stock from the recurring order.
