(IRA Tax forms- 5498, 1099-R)

Updated over a month ago

For IRAs, there are two different tax forms that you may receive. You will receive Form 5498, which reports contributions, including any catch-up contributions, rollovers, repayments, required minimum distributions (RMDs), and the fair market value (FMV) of the account.

You may also receive a 1099-R, which is used to report distributions taken from retirement accounts, like Traditional and Roth IRAs.

Form 5498 will be available in May and the 1099-R will be available in February.
